The Anacostia Watershed Society is pleased to announce our new Learning from Home portal!

Watch the introduction video with Senior Educator Maddie by clicking here.

With many area schools moving to online classes for the remainder of the year, the education team here at the AWS has put together online resources so K-12 students can keep learning about their local watershed from home. Plus, students have the chance to start a Naturalist Notebook and enter our competition!

Each section is divided into activities for young learners (K-2nd), Upper Elementary (3rd-5th), and Middle and High School (6th-12th).  Use the links below to go directly to each area of learning:

If you have been curious about our school-based programs like Rice Rangers, Schools in Schools (Shad restoration) and #MusselPower, the Learning from Home portal is your chance to check out some of the ways we share the magic of our natural environment with our students.
