Date: Thursday, October 3, 2019
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Meeting Location: Bladensburg Waterfront Park, 4601 Annapolis Rd
Description: You will learn about the history of the Anacostia River, the threats to its health, and the progress towards its restoration during a 2-hour boat tour aboard a pontoon boat.
What to Wear/Bring: Participants should dress appropriately for the weather on the day of the event. We recommend wearing a hat and sunscreen and bringing a refillable water bottle (please no single-use bottled water). There is a restroom and water fountain available at the park.
Note: All boat tours are weather dependent. We will proceed in light rain, but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast. We typically notify registrants of cancellations 24 hours in advance.
If you have any questions prior to the event, please contact Emily Conrad at econrad@anacostiaws.org. We look forward to hosting you on our favorite river!
