Join the Anacostia Watershed Society for a boat tour on the Anacostia River to explore the ecological and historical changes that have occurred in the river and in the communities around the river. We will have the opportunity to witness some of the restoration of river habitats and how it has caused the rebound of the wildlife in the Anacostia River. 

Meeting Location: We will gather at the boat ramp in Anacostia Park, across from the Skating Pavilion and Aquatic Resources Education Center. The address is 1500 Anacostia Drive. There is ample parking available.  

What to Wear/Bring: We recommend wearing sunscreen and a hat and bringing water. 

Note:  

• All tours are weather dependent. We will proceed in light rain, but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast.
• If you are sick or exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 (such as fever, chills, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, etc.), please do not come to the event and consider joining us another time.
