Join the Anacostia Watershed Society for a boat tour on the Anacostia River to explore the ecological and historical changes that have occurred in the river and in the communities around the river. We will have the opportunity to witness some of the restoration of river habitats and how it has caused the rebound of the wildlife in the Anacostia River.
Meeting Location: We will gather at the boat ramp at Bladensburg Waterfront Park at 4601 Annapolis Rd, Bladensburg, MD 20710. The park is accessible via Bike Trail (Anacostia Tributary Trail System: Anacostia River Trail). There is some parking available.
What to Wear/Bring: All participants must arrive wearing a face mask. We will have some hand sanitizer available, but please feel free to bring your own. We recommend wearing sunscreen and a hat and bringing water.
Note: All tours are weather dependent. We will proceed in light rain, but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast.
If you have any questions prior to the event, please contact us at info@anacostiaws.org. We look forward to hosting you on our favorite river!
