Join the Anacostia Watershed Society for a boat tour of the Anacostia River to explore the ecological and historical changes that have occurred in the river and in the communities around the river. We will have the opportunity to witness some of the restoration of river habitats and how it has caused the rebound of the wildlife in the Anacostia River.
Meeting Location: We will gather at the boat ramp in Diamond Teague Park next to the Salt Line and brown brick building. The address is 100 Potomac Ave SE. It is a short walk from the Navy Yard Metro and DC Water's HQO.
What to Wear/Bring: We recommend wearing sunscreen and a hat and bringing water.
Note: All tours are weather dependent. We will proceed in light rain, but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast.
If you have any questions prior to the event, please contact Emily Conrad at econrad@anacostiaws.org. We look forward to hosting you on our favorite river!
