• The Minnesota Avenue Metro Station is about 1.2 miles away from this location (about a 23 minute walk)
• The Stadium Armory Metro Station is about 1.3 miles away from this location (about a 26 minute walk)

Project: Join the Anacostia Watershed Society for an exciting evening exploring the river at night at Langston Golf Course on a guided evening wildlife tour of Kingman Lake and the adjacent riparian forests. People with waders (optional) will join an "aquatic group" exploring the east tidal channel at low tide to see the aquatic critters like eels and other fish, crayfish, freshwater mussels, and of course birds and mammals (otters!). Maybe we will hear coyotes howling... 

Another group a "riparian forest group" will explore the adjacent woods, ponds and golf course looking for other critters. Depending on weather conditions the amphibians and reptiles may be very active as well. 

Physical Level of Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult

• This event could involve walking on uneven surfaces, wading in very mucky mud and water in warm weather conditions, paddling, lifting, and bending. If you think any of the physical requirements will be problematic, please let us know.
