Join Casey Trees and Anacostia Watershed Society as we partner up this Earth Day to take down invasive species on Hellbender Hill, one of our protected conservation easements. Learn what invasive species are, why they are detrimental to our environment, and how you can help prevent or control their pressure on our local ecosystems.
Be prepared to get dirty and have fun - while staying safe!

When you arrive look for signs to check in.
Site leaders will brief you on basic safety measures to ensure that everyone has a safe, fun time. All tools and supplies needed will be provided during check in - no need to bring your own gloves unless you have a favorite pair.
This is a family friendly event and kids are welcome! However, all participants under 18 must also have completed registration.
If you are under 18, you will need a parent/guardian to digitally consent to your participation during registration.
Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather (rain or shine!) and wear clothes you won't mind getting dirty.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements:The Anacostia Watershed Society requires that all participants who are eligible for the COVID-19 Vaccine be fully vaccinated per the CDC guidelines and attest to being fully vaccinated in order to participate in any of our events. AWS also highly recommends that all participants be up-to-date on booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine when eligible. Please see additional requirements listed in the below sections.

4. Reservations: Pre-registration is encouraged and may be required via AWS’s website (www.anacostiaws.org). All registrations require each participant to complete our Event Waiver Form and our COVID-19 screening questionnaire prior to participation.
